The pictures dont really justify the time this took... It didn't go so well either. The fabric didn't take to the glue paint ratio I dont think and it was such a battle to get even these prints. Also-EXPOSURE ERROR ON THE LABEL. I think there was a massive misunderstanding-UHOH and we ended up with a big old ugly block of paint where we just wanted some dainty laser cut esc type on the wooden fork labels. Still-the black saved it all a little and I was pleased with the outcome-shown below after I wrestled with my housemates sewing machine and pinched a couple socks to fill it with!
Colour testing to get the blue we needed
After Screen printing I re drew in the black details to make sure it was a bold and exciting image as it needed to be obvious that it was a fish!
I then took it home and sewed together 2 fish stuffed that fish with some of my socks...
The foam chips... NEEDLE IN THE HAY STACK. We found it so hard to get our hand son such foam as the upholstery lady wasn't in every time we went down to see her (practically every hour)-ANYWAY. After a quick panicky grill from fred-BRAIN WAVE-sponges in screen print. Then the fantastic Matt in furniture took care of the cutting for us. Im so happy with the result. I think it looks adorable-it is functional but humorous. Very pleased-thanks furniture staff!
