I think the first thing to say with this brief is that it never clicked. I don't know if Im the only person who understand what I mean by that but I feel as though Ive worked pretty hard on this but it never got to the point I wanted it to be.
I think it sucks that I didnt manage to screen print the pattern designs onto fabric but it just wasn't realistic with the amount of time I had after I had reached this point. This may well look like bad time management skills but I didnt want this breif to be about me having to knock something about before I went back to Bristol. I am glad I took more time over the holidays to try and push something out of this even if I did have to deliver mock ups as my final resolution.
I think that I pushed the original brief and its characteristics of legibility, range, hierarchy and scale into my own creation and I am proud of that. I thoroughly enjoyed this brief despite it never really clicking into what I wanted it to be. I am glad I made the decisions I did to make it more relevant to the original brief as far as the design went by placing the imagery I had over an existing eye chart. Perhaps this is why I found it challenging, I didn't just role off on one creating what I wanted to do I made it relevant to both. A great Stepping stone!
