WHERE AND WHEN IS IT ON AND FOR WHO?
/after having a look at a few timetables of television, it seems that the only consistently popular digital world viewings are-the gadget show and the IT crowd. These are on channel 4 and five. Given that my show would be a one off show I dont think that it would fit into the series mania that channel 4 portrays and against its other programmes such as glee would seem rather too nerdy. I think that channel five has more once in a while gems of shows that you can pick up amongst others like the style of programme. Alongside programmes such as the gadget show allows it to portray a light hearted info graphic show.
When? If the audience is going to be humans interested in gadgets-or old school gadgets they would tend to be older. THe government being the government tend t make adults have jobs so a daytime retro computer show would not be a success alongside peppa pig. A late night showing at 7-9 o clock is prime time for stodge viewings of top ten programmes alongside your dinner and dessert seems alot more realistic. If you look at current timetables it seems that this would fit in to the current pattern of programmes. one of documentries seem to be a hit on five.
Who-to clarify- Gadget lovers (both genders) from the age of 18 to 55 (relating to the ages that computers have been around). A 60 year old wouldn't watch a reminiscing celebrating programme on gadgets that they have no idea what they are. Likewise as young as 18 is appropriate due to the uprsise of vintage/gaming loving youths.
