DILEMAS FOR THE CRIT././
If I were to just put the logo on the stationary it isnt interacting with my message I want to persuade
people. Does this mean I need to include imagery on the reverse of the pencils so it is set up as a
choice for the designer to choose.
As the imagery has blended into general use (or will do once I have my pictures back) I need to find a range elsewhere. Or does it already exist through my mixed media with the concertina poster and stationary set and moving billboard-flip sides.
Should I be involving the packaging more into my concept? I don't want it to just be a box so shall I experiment with different possible roads. For example the pencil case could be a log or is this a separate project in itself? Should I incorporate the concertina into the case. I could place the stationary in between the folds..
Should the range be with stationary? As seen below the rubber could be involved physically. Should the consumer get involved with the product by choosing which side-function over form etc.
EVEN THINKING ABOUT PROCESS. I THOUGHT I COULD DRAW. But I have to be mature and try something new.
FRETTING ABOUT IMAGERY TOO.
I have set myself quite a hard task by wanting such obscure imagery and to make the them look
nastily nice at the same time..
Natural face/made up now ugly face
Animal/ornament of animal
trees and plants/ furniture
sunset and rise/horrific light.
And then with relation to the product-does the imagery need to relate-ie WOODEN pencils VS tacky pencils. trees vs. form over function decor.
I NEED TO BACK THIS UP TO MAKE SURE THIS ISNT JUST MY TASTE.
////OH MY GOSH,
